What to do when the job becomes mundane.

There always comes a point in our lives where we ask ourselves if this is really our field, our patch of green grass. Because in that time and moment of asking we see ourselves in a desolate land and the only inhabitant is you. At work, at your job we have our co-workers, our colleagues and the people above us; our bosses, unit managers and such. And after 7 years of working in the same company you seem tired and bored because you do the same old thing, job, task at work. You get annoyed by your officemates, the newbies, everyone in the office. Seeing them happy makes you wonder why they still stay in the company. And even when there are times you don't get along with them well, you find you're only a one man army while there are dozens of them. But is it 'them' who is your problem or is it 'you' as an individual who thinks of them as a problem.

When you think of your job as a routine, then you've lost the real sense of why you applied there in the first place. They say "Do what you love, and love what you do." Try to remember the excitement, the anxious feeling, the mixed emotions when you were applying for the job and when you got the job you went home to your parents, your family and they treated you out for dinner.

Don't think that you hate the people at the office, that the company has lost its touch because of new management and other factors. Think as your own on how you can revive the line, bring back power and energy rather than sulking in your own space in the office and ranting, complaining about office life. Nothing is going to happen when you don't do something. In your own way make people happy rather than making the people around you dislike you. If the people in the office try to pull you down, they're trying to degrade your existence, then stand up and the hands pulling you down let them let go. Become someone they can't pull down because the reason why they're pulling you down is because you're better than them. Don't show off. Don't brag about you being better than them. BE HUMBLE. No true success comes from someone who just brags.

So when the job becomes mundane, and not only mundane but when it also becomes stressful, remember the happy memories. The future may not be the same as before but we do not know what the future really holds.
